Hello All!
It's been a while since we updated the sites but now we have some exciting news to share with you guys.

We are happy to announce that we are hitting the studio in Oktober to record our first full length!
We're not giving away much at the moment but it will contain atleast 10 songs and will be recorded at the famous Excess studio's in Rotterdam.
The mixing and mastering of the tracks will be done by Tommy from Tomster Studios | Sound Solutions who's also known from the band 'Blindsight'.
We are looking forward to the recordings and are planning to come out big with this album.
Keep your ears on the ground for more info about the recordings.

After competing in the first 2 rounds of the Emirganza fest contest, we succeeded in reaching the Semi's in the Melkweg on the 22th of May!
So come check us and 12 other bands compete and vote us through to the finals!!! We're playing between 18 and 20 o'clock. So be sure to be there on time!!!

Hope we got you up to speed now and we'll be updating the site more often from now on. Keep on rocking and see you soon!

I'm still deaf from the brutal sounds and extreme loud noise from yesterday.
It was a good night!:)
Lot's of free beers great bands and a great vibe going on @ Nirwana Dronten.

After the few weeks of playing every weekend we get to relax for a few weeks before hitting Schevening's Saturnus!

HELLO ALL!

As you've probably already seen, we have a new look and some new pictures and gigs lined up.
First of we had a photoshoot September 12th with the talented Mandy Bakker
You can view these pictures in our photobook.

We also have some gigs planned in November.
Battling it out in Scheveningen @ the Beachbattle contest.
And playing Artifest @ the end of this week!

We also added some video's of former live performances, so you can experience the live vibe online.

So Stating the ObviouZ is back, and we're hoping to play a town near you soon!

BIG NEWS!!!


It's been a while since we played gigs or released new songs and we are writing now to explain why.

As a band we decided to part with our second guitarist and backup vocalist Stefan. He was doing great with his studies but couldn't free up enough time to play with the band to reach new heights.
He is enjoying his free time now and will start his last year of study the upcoming school year. We as a band wish him all the good things this world has to offer and will miss him loads.

After this decision, we started the search for a new guitarist and possible backup vocalist.
And we are happy to announce we found our 'man'. Robert Hilwerda is the new guitarist and backup vocalist in Stating the ObviouZ.
The dude can shred like hell so will be a good one to have on board.

We our playing our first gig at the end of November but more info about that will follow soon!

We hope to see you all soon and keep spreading the word, Stating the ObviouZ will play again real soon!

We want to thank everyone that came to watch us perform yesterday in "de Meester" in Almere, and we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! Do or Die and Textures we're awesome, and it was an honour to be their support act!

Hey!

We performed at the finals of flavourland last night, and although we didn't end up first but third, we had a blast! We want thank everyone that went there to support us, you guys we're awesome! We hope to see you in "de Meester" november the 28th! Also, we want to mention our drummer, because it was his first time on stage with us, with very little time to practice (3 weeks or so), he did a great job! Well, that's it. LaterZ!

Hi everyone! There are two points that we would like to make clear to you. The first point kinda sucks, and that is that our drummer had left our musical assemblage, due to some personal matters. We want to thank him for everything he's done for us and we wish him lots of luck on the road he's taking now. So.. three cheers for Bart!
The second point is that our band can't really function without someone behind the drums, but have no fear! We found a new drummer to replace Bart, and we are very confident that he will do the job right! So it is a great honour to present to you, the former drummer of Ambiossis... Mike!

Yes people! Stating the obviouz is growing each day. So what's new?! Well.. we've acquired the YouTube status! For real? Hell yeah!! Just go to YouTube and type in "stating the obviouz", and pleazz mind the Z at the end... Some really cool guys filmed our last two gigz, so a special thanks to them!
Also, we recently appeared in Flevolands own newspaper, "flevopost" (you know...) at the culture section. So how much honour can one get in a week huh?!

Hey ladies and gentlemen!

We are happy to inform you that WE WON THE PUBLIC PRICE in the semi-finals of flavourland! Ofcourse we want to thank everyone that voted for us, and the ones that didn't but could still stand our sound. Anyway, this means we'll be back in the final round the 1st of November in the Underground, Lelystad. We'll see you there!

We did a radio gig on the radioshow called "een blok aan je been". It was allot of fun and after the summer we are returning on the show to promote our shows after the summer. We are joining the flavourland battle. Its always fun to play with the best bands of the local scene. And this year 21 bands are in competition. We are looking forward to it and hope to have some laughs and make some new friends. We are hitting the stage on the 13th of september in the venue called Underground in Lelystad.
